A new Lidl store to serve a small rural town in the Forest of Dean.

QVA Consulting have worked alongside the utilities consultant Gattica, architect, structural engineer and Lidl's construction team, to overcome difficult space constraints and achieve a SUDS solution that incorporates a diverted surface water sewer under the new store.

Negotiations by QVA Consulting with the Environment Agency and Forest of Dean Local Lead Flood Authority, successfully achieved agreement on the status of local land drainage and avoided the misapplication of statutory consultation mechanisms to the diversion.  Delay to construction was therefore minimised and enabling works could remain within Lidl's control.
